Today, we're 💯 issues old!

Since launching in mid-2024, you've invited Horrorverse into your inbox to learn all about the latest happenings in horror, including lists, reviews, interviews and more. We know we're a small fish in a big sea, but innovation is what has kept us on our toes. Our presentation has been a main focus for us, and, behind the scenes, we're always coming up with new ideas and sections for how we present ourselves when we send out each issue. Whether it's guest writers, creative themes, or strategic partnerships, which includes our merger with Macabre Daily, we all come together with a shared love for horror, and we hope that our issues have brought a smile to your face every week.

We'd like to thank all of those involved, from contributors to partners/sponsors, who have helped make our first 100 issues special.

Are you ready to float again🎈? IT: Season 2 is happening, and, this time, will be set in 1935. No word yet on whether Bill Skarsgård will return, but it's most likely a guarantee.

Waxwork Records will be releasing their first-ever picture disc! The disc for THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (1974) will ship in October. Unfortunately, this pressing has sold out, but Waxwork has been known to do multiple pressings for some titles. According to Fangoria, the picture disc deluxe set will include exclusive liner notes from Bell, a heavyweight gatefold jacket with inner flood printing designed by Steve Reeves, and a twelve page booklet featuring behind the scenes photography from the film.

With Scary Season around the corner, Shudder has announced its Season of Screams lineup, which begins September 1st! There will be new premieres every Friday until the end of the year. Bloody Disgusting has the scoop, which includes new films such as V/H/S/MIXTAPE, THE CYCLE, HALLOWARRIOR, and BIG BABY, as well as special events like Joe Bob’s Halloween House Party and FANGORIA's Chainsaw Awards.

Earlier this week, we learned of the passing of actress Hayden Panettiere, who starred in horror classics SCREAM 4 and SCREAM VI, the latter in which she reprised her fan-favorite character Kirby Reed. She was 36 years old. RIP.

In February, Screaming Mad George, the Japanese special effects artist, known for such films like PREDATOR (1987), NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER, and SOCIETY, passed away at the age of 69.
